So I went to that. It was somewhat interesting. The director of Day 1 studios came to HCC. He talked a bit about what game development companies look for in a hire. He also mentioned how some big companies got started. He stated some interesting facts about video games and consumers. Like how a person could make their own game on the iphone for about 10k or so. For a real company though the minimum standard is 10 million dollars.
Then he talked about their game Fracture. From what I have heard it is a bad game. From what I saw it looked like they copied a lot of other game's ideas. I think even one person brought that up. It was interesting to see, but I can't say I got a lot out of it.
